The cover is a very crucial factor in publishing a book. It should look professional, it should challenge the reader to buy it, and it should convey the message of the book’s content in an aesthetically and technically sound manner.

When we say “Cover”, in typography we mean the full two-page Spread (back – spine – cover) in PDF format.

There are four versions for this service that you can choose from:
A) the adjustment and checking of a full-size file (back cover – spine – front cover) in a high resolution (300 dpi) PDF that you send us. We will also add our logo and ISBN Barcode. Cost $95

B) You deliver a file with the cover, but without having created the rest of the deployment components.

Cover composition and customization. Cost $159

C) The “simple” cover development construction, in which prepared graphic compositions are used, or some of your own choice of photo/design that you give us, placing texts and titles, together with our logo and ISBN Barcode. Cost$229

D) The deluxe version, in which we use an image purchased from an image bank, a design by a graphic designer/illustrator and is the result of an original work. It means that the book will be read to choose the most appropriate visual approach to express its content. Two drafts will be made, for which a discussion and final selection will be made together with the author. The result will be a cover that will stand out and certainly for someone who sees it, it will multiply the chances of buying it, causing them to be interested. Cost $484

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS IN CASE OF OPTION A:

If you choose case A), and you send us your own cover, it must be made by a graphic designer in a 300 DPI Photoshop (PSD) file. It should be larger than desired by 0.32cm on each side (right on front cover, left on back cover, and top and bottom on front cover, back cover and spine), eg. 14.32cm x 21.64cm if it is a book that will be published in 14cm x 21cm. Front and back cover elements (lettering, titles) should also be aligned to the printable area (eg 14cm x 21cm). The spine will be created by you, after the pagination is done and we send you the exact number of pages, since its width will be the number of pages times 0.00572008cm.

Also on the back cover you should leave a space of 5.93cm (height) x 4.06cm (width) in which the barcode of the book will be added. Each element (letters, images) must be on a different layer.

Finally, you must own the copyright for any image you may use and provide us with all source information, as well as send us the font you have used.

Any file that does not follow these specifications will not be accepted and will incur a cover manufacturing charge.
